The Fetzer Gewürztraminer is on the one hand thick and sweet enough to function as a dessert wine, but on the other hand it's also strong enough to stand up to foods and work as a regular dinner wine. There aren't many varietals that can pull off this balancing act, but the Gewürztraminer is one of them and Fetzer has done a nice job making this wine from it.
The Brassfield Serenity 2006 is golden yellow, though a bit watery with clear edges. The Brassfield Serenity is an off-dry, medium-bodied wine with lively, marked acidity. The flavors are mostly fruit and apple. It has much of the sweetness and character of a good Riesling, though it doesn't actually taste like one. Overall the Brassfield Serenity 2006 is a very good, refreshing summer wine.
It's generally recommended to pair the Ventana Gewurztraminer with smoky foods and that turns out to be a very good idea. You should also considering pairing the Ventana Gewurztraminer with Asian cuisine and poultry like roast turkey.
The flavors of the 2007 Menage a Trois California Rose are composed primarily of red berries and cherries. It's definitely something that should be served well chilled. This wine is vary approachable and very easy drinking - it should make a good wine for picnics, cookouts, and other summer meals. This might be a good wine for people who are accustomed to sweeter wines but are interested in shifting to drier red wines.
