The taste of this light-bodied German Riesling consists primarily of pears and apples. It's medium-sweet and has very smooth, low acidity. This isn't a 'fine wine,' but it's a decent wine for everyday drinking and relaxing with. Relax Riesling is also usually a pretty good value for the money. I would personally prefer it if the wine were a bit more acidic because that would make it more balanced when drinking it alone, but the low acidity probably makes it more appealing to more people.
The flavors of the Crios de Susana Balbo 2007 Malbec are dominated by berries, cherries, some smoke, and even perhaps something like a cigar. Although relatively moderate in strength, the flavors here are a bit stronger than some other Malbecs you might find.
The rich flavors of the Terrazas de los Andes Reserva 2006 include the fruits and berries you would expect in a Malbec from Argentina, but it also has hints of leather around the edges as well as a nice spicy, tangy finish. This a medium to full bodied wine with medium, round tannins and a crisp acidity which produces the nice finish. Overall the Reserva Malbec is a nicely balanced wine that is worth drinking in a variety of circumstances.
Riesling grapes, which originate in Germany's Rhine region, have sweet fruity flavors and aromas of flowers and fruits. Other characteristics of wines made form Riesling grapes include high acidity and petrol notes if aged. The character of a Riesling wine depends heavily on where it is grown because Riesling grapes are very 'terroir expressive.' Rieslings cannot be oaked like Chardonnays and the oak flavor is part of what draws people to Chardonnay.
Chardonnay is the most common and well known variety of white grape in wine production today. The most prominent flavor in Chardonnay wine comes from oak used in the wine production process. Other flavors and aromas include fruit, lemon, melon, grass, and vanilla. Some other characteristics of Chardonnay wines are high acidity, golden colors, and a velvety feel in the mouth.
