The taste of the 2008 Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc can be described as crisp and light, zesty and lemony. Although quite crisp, the acid is not overwhelming or distracting; on the contrary, it balances very nicely with the citrus, lemon flavors to make it a refreshing Sauvignon Blanc that is good to just sip alone or to pair with the right foods. The Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc is, however, better when cold - the balance between the acid and flavors declines noticeably as the wine's temperature rises.
Overall the Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc is "food friendly" and should work well enough with a wide variety of dishes, though it seems as though seafood is a popular combination.
The flavors of the 2007 Menage a Trois California Rose are composed primarily of red berries and cherries. It's definitely something that should be served well chilled. This wine is vary approachable and very easy drinking - it should make a good wine for picnics, cookouts, and other summer meals. This might be a good wine for people who are accustomed to sweeter wines but are interested in shifting to drier red wines.
When it comes to taste, the more prominent flavor in the thin-bodied Colombelle Gascogne Blanc has to be grapefruit, resulting in an acidic and biting taste that could easily be unpleasant to some wine drinkers. It's dry and quite tart but clean with a reasonable length; however, you'll really have to decide what you think about the grapefruit flavor - for some people it should be a refreshing change of pace, but others will be turned away with one sip.
The taste of the Château Bonnet Blanc is a combination of citrus fruits like lime and grapefruit with mild herbs. The addition of the herbal notes certainly reduces the strong citrus flavors which can characterize some white wines. Relatively dry with a medium body, it has a marked level of acidity and isn't too sweet. Overall it's fairly well balanced, as has been the case with previous vintages of this blended white wine.
