The Paso a Paso Verdejo 2008 is a deep golden color, almost honey-like with a medium color-depth and nice clarity. The Paso a Paso Verdejo 2008 has some pretty early acidity that leaves quickly; after that the flavors emerge — mostly lemon and some mineral around the edges. The intensity is moderate and smooth; while the wine is dry overall there is a bit of sweetness to the flavor.
The Spanish Quarter Red is a dry, full-bodied wine with strong red fruit and chocolate flavors. It has nice acidity and medium tannins that are reminiscent of Zinfandel. It has a fairly extended finish, perhaps longer than one would normally expect from a red wine of this price.
The flavors of the Palacios Remondo La Vendimia Rioja are dominated by red berries and cherry with just a hint of oak. A full-bodied wine with mild acidity, La Vendimia has soft tannins and a decent length.
