The Relax Cool Red is not as grapey as many light red wines can be, but it is nicely fruity. A medium-to-full bodied red wine, it's not too sweet not too dry which should mean that you could pair it with almost anything, but in practice it seems to mean that it only makes an average pairing at best with most foods. The most positive aspect may be the lively acidity. It's simple rather than complex and would probably be best drinking chilled on its own.
The Sartori DiVerona Pinot Noir 2006 is a nice ruby red color with a hint of purple around the edges. Like the aroma, the flavor of the Sartori DiVerona Pinot Noir is dominated by berries, spices, and vanilla. It's a dry, full-bodied wine with strong tannins. Overall the Sartori DiVerona Pinot Noir 2006 is a decent wine to pair with a variety of foods, though it doesn't have any synergy either.
As with the aromas, the flavors of the Robert Mondavi Vinetta are primary dark berries like blackberries along with black cherries and plum. The texture is smooth and as thick as the wine looks when swirling in the glass and there is a hint of oak in the background. This full-bodied wine has an extended taste, high tannins, and is quite dry.
The 2007 Navarro Correas Coleccion Privada Malbec is full bodied, but perhaps just a bit thinner than other Malbecs tend to be. The flavors are strong in plums and cherries accompanied by strong - almost astringent - tannins. The finish is long but flavorful and pleasant. You can enjoy strong, flavorful, semi-hard cheeses like swiss or sharp cheddar with the 2007 Navarro Correas Coleccion Privada Malbec. Aged hard cheeses, like parmesan and gouda, can be especially good because the Malbec brings out more of their flavors.
The rich flavors of the Terrazas de los Andes Reserva 2006 include the fruits and berries you would expect in a Malbec from Argentina, but it also has hints of leather around the edges as well as a nice spicy, tangy finish. This a medium to full bodied wine with medium, round tannins and a crisp acidity which produces the nice finish. Overall the Reserva Malbec is a nicely balanced wine that is worth drinking in a variety of circumstances.
