The 2008 Trumpeter Torrontes has a smooth, creamy citrus flavor. It's an off-dry, light-to-medium bodied Torrontes with debatable acidity. By debatable I mean that I thought its acidity was weak but my wife found it crisp. It's also a relatively sweet wine. This Torrontes has very moderate aromas of lemon, maybe lemon zest, and other citrus.

- Suahi: When paired with sushi the 2008 Trumpeter Torrontes is fairly decent, though the flavors and aromas are weak enough that it's easily overpowered by the fish.
- Guacamole: When paired with guacamole, this Torrontes becomes creamier but also far less acidic — and since I found the acidity weak to begin with, this isn't a great result. If you like the acidity level, though, pairing the 2008 Trumpeter with guacamole would probably work for you.
