The Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir 2008 is very dark and rich in color, almost garnet red it's so strong. This dry, full-bodied Pinot Noir has nice fruit flavors combined with some smoke. The tannins are fairly strong and hard, which makes this an excellent wine to have with red, fatty meats.

- Poached Salmon: The Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir 2008 becomes much sweeter and a bit more acidic when paired with salmon — it wouldn't be this good with most other fishes, but with a fatty fish like salmon it's quite good.
- Asparagus & Hollandaise Sauce: When paired with asparagus, the Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir becomes even drier than it already is, which is pretty good.
