The Spanish Quarter Red is a dry, full-bodied wine with strong red fruit and chocolate flavors. It has nice acidity and medium tannins that are reminiscent of Zinfandel. It has a fairly extended finish, perhaps longer than one would normally expect from a red wine of this price.
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Tempranillo (45%)
Color & Clarity
The Spanish Quarter Red is a deep purple-red and has a very thick look to it. Even at an angle the wine is so deep in color that it's almost opaque.

With cocoa and spice as the dominant elements, the Spanish Quarter Red has a pleasant if light aroma.

Pairing Spanish Quarter Red with Cheeses
- Aged Gouda: The Spanish Quarter Red becomes much, much more aromatic when paired with aged Gouda, making this a great combination.
- Aged Parmesan: Aged Parmesan makes the Spanish Quarter Red taste a bit drier, but otherwise there is nothing noteworthy about this pairing.
Pairing Spanish Quarter Red with Main Dishes
- Leg of Lamb with Roasted Garlic: The Spanish Quarter Red fit very well with leg of lamb, becoming a bit more flavorful and complex. This red wine would probably pair well with any red meat and many game meats as well.
- Mashed Potatoes with Garlic & Rosemary: Potatoes with garlic and rosemary went reasonably well with the Spanish Quarter Red — there was nothing special about the pairing, but nothing bad either.
