Color & Clarity
The A to Z Rose is a salmon-orange color with a tinge of pink as well. It has medium depth and nice clarity.
Nose
The aromas of the A to Z Rose are dominated by red fruit, mostly cherry and perhaps some tart strawberry.
Palate
This medium-bodied rose is dry with a nicely crisp acidity. The flavors are primarily red fruit and cherry again, though some find they can detect strawberries and watermelon as well. The finish of the A to Z Rose is very smooth and not at all astringent.
Especially with its screw cap, the A to Z Rose should make a very good wine for outdoor dining, whether picnics or backyard barbecues.
Pairing A to Z Rose Wine with Main Dishes
- Roast Turkey with Stuffing & Mashed Potatoes: The turkey brings out more acidity and tartness from the A to Z Rose, which in turn makes the wine even more enjoyable to have with the turkey. This isn't a stellar pairing, but I think that the A to Z Rose should go well with most turkey and chicken dishes.
- Italian Sausage Sandwiches (with onion & marinara sauce): A to Z Rose becomes a little more tart and a lot more flavorful when paired with sausage sandwiches. I'm not sure if it's the sausage or the marinara sauce which does the most when creating this interaction, but I think this rose would be worth pairing not only with other sausage dishes, but also other Italian dishes using tomato-based sauces.
